Canoe trip! My now-apparently-annual canoe trip is right around the corner. That link is to the original post about it with all the info. If you're interested in going, now is really decision time. Let me know if you're planning to go, so we can coordinate how many canoes we need and can plan riding up there together to save on gas.

Reminder...
I reserved my canoe today for the canoe trip in July. Here's the original post with all the information. We'll be taking the float trip called Aker's Ferry to Two Rivers, putting in on the river whenever we get there on Friday morning, aiming for about 10am, and pulling out around 2 or 3 on Sunday afternoon. Total fee for one canoe for the 3 days is $126, which of course you can split by however many people you're going to put in your canoe. Since this is 4th of July weekend, I suggest reserving your canoe pretty soon. If you don't want to afford it right now, but do when the time gets here, let me know, and we can work out me reserving your canoe for you now. Everyone is invited on this trip. You're welcome to invite people I don't know. It's really open to everyone. I just want to get people on this awesome river!

Canoe...
Canoe Trip Details

I'm cold and sick, so to perk myself up, I'll finally post the info on the canoe trip I'm planning for this summer.

If you're reading this, you're invited. Anyone else you know is invited. This is a loosely organized trip where everyone can have their own experience with the group or individually. Absolutely anyone is welcome to come along.

The river we'll be canoing is the Current River in the Ozarks of Missouri. It's a class one river and considered one of the best - if not THE best - floating river in the country. It is definitely the most beautiful river I've ever seen. There's lots of opportunity for exploration beyond the river, too - caving, springs, beautiful hidden spots, etc. There's one cave that you can canoe into. There are two other caves that offer nearly unlimited exploration. The springs are absolutely the most exquisite water I've ever seen.

Okay, my LJ is all zipped up now. I like to attract The Crazy, so to protect my other commenters from random drive-by Crazy, only pre-approved Crazy is allowed.

If you friend me, I'll probably friend you back. If you want to email me, it's erosissa(at)gmail(dot)com.
